John Herzenberg wrote "Earlier this week, Dr. Phil McClure and I operated on an 11-year-old boy from Nigeria for treatment of his severe bowed legs (Blount Disease). The boy literally could not walk on his legs and could only move by crawling on his knees. We did an acute correction (closing wedge osteotomies), and used external fixators to hold the reduction.
