Gorilla Carries 3-Year-Old Boy to Safety After He Fell Into Enclosure in 1996 Incident In a 1996 incident at an Illinois zoo, a female gorilla cradled a 3-year-old boy who fell nearly 20 feet into her enclosure, resulting in a much different outcome than a similar incident in Cincinnati over the weekend.
