World's first Robot lawyer gets sued for practicing law without license A prominent plaintiffs’ law firm named Edelson has filed a new lawsuit against DoNotPay Inc., which describes itself as “the world’s first robot lawyer” and says it uses artificial intelligence to help clients in court. The lawsuit contends that the company is practicing law without a license. DoNotPay “is not actually a robot, a lawyer, or a law firm,” according to a proposed class action filed in state court in San Francisco on March 3 and uploaded on the court’s open website.
