What You Never Knew About Brooke Shields  Brooke Shields has been a Hollywood fixture since the 1970s, but her career got off to a controversial start. After appearing in small advertisements throughout her childhood, Shields landed a major photoshoot for Playboy's "Sugar and Spice" magazine at the age of 10. Photographer Gary Gross paid her $450 to pose nude in a bathtub, and two of the images were printed in the publication.
