A Nigerian pastor, Rev. Dr. Success Emeka Sunday was forced to marry the corpse of his late fiancée who he is alleged to have killed by aborting her pregnancy while she was unconscious. The founder of Life Transformation Praying Ministry in Owerri, went into a relationship with Chioma Okoye 5 years ago, they got engaged in 2020 and started planning their wedding. In the course of preparing for the wedding, Chioma got pregnant but the pastor didn’t want the baby because his church was against pregnancy before marriage and it would damage his reputation. The family of the deceased claimed that Pastor Sunday invited Chioma to his house on February 24, 2021 and offered her a drink laced with drugs and she became unconscious after drinking it. He however, took her to a hospital and asked the doctor to terminate the pregnancy. The doctor is said to have refused but the pastor allegedly insisted.
