We can say that over the last few decades the marriages lost their credibility. Experts explain that young generations find it really difficult to stay committed and dedicated to their partners.

For successful relationships, both partners need to be loyal, committed and understandable. Below you can read about 8 common mistakes that slowly ruin the relationship.

1. Expecting from your partner to change because of you

We all have flaws and each person has specific character. You should never expect from your partner to change according to your desires. Even if your partner decides to change “for the sake of love”, it don’t necessarily mean that the change will be according to your imagination. You need to accept your partner on the way she or he is.

2. Always having to win an argument

People fight and argue in order to prove that they are right, and the reason for that is their ego that tries to dominate. When you are in situation to argue with your partner you should try to stay calm and present your point of view. Let your partner to present his or her point of view and then try to solve the problem – together.

3. Allowing a third person to interfere

This is very common mistake that many young and modern couples make. If third person interferes in your relationship you should be aware that it will make the things even worse. You simply can never know with certainty if the third person is mature enough to solve the problem between you and your partner. That is your problem and you should solve it together with your partner. There is only one exception: marriage counseling.

4. Neglecting the emotional and physical needs of the partner

If you neglect your feelings about your partner, he or she might start looking for someone else in order to fulfill them. Regardless of the situation in which you’re going trough, you should not forget to let your partner know that you still love them.

5. Disrespecting differences

It is fact that there are not two identical persons in this world. We all are different in some way. It is crucial to respect all differences between you and your partner.

6. Not accepting fault

When some person has strong ego, it is really hard for that person to accept fault. But, you should think twice as you are arguing with your partner and that is the person you love. Letting him or her, know that you are sorry won’t hurt. Even if you are not wrong, you can offer sincerest apology. You should never let your ego destroy your love.

7. Lack of communication

Maintaining communication is vital for each relationship. Whether there is a small or a some big problem between you and your partner, you should know that many relationships end due to lack of communication.

8. Differences in opinion

Always respect your partner’s opinion. For example, if you want to create a family as soon as possible, and if your partner needs more time to prepare for such big responsibility, you should talk about that and make wise consensus from the both sides. Listen to your partner and talk about all possible options and decide what is best for both of you.

Meet Tenzing Norgay, The ‘Unsung Hero’ Of The First Successful Summit Of Mount Everest Edmund Hillary was the first person to climb Mount Everest, but he couldn't have done it without Sherpa Tenzing Norgay. Born in the Himalayas, Tenzing Norgay grew up revering the "mighty mountain" of Everest and the "goddess of the summit." Though his father gave him a name that means "wealthy fortunate follower of religion" in hopes that he would become a monk, Norgay dreamt of being a mountaineer. He ran away from home multiple times to hike among the peaks, and eventually joined his first official mountaineering expedition at age 20 in 1935. By the time he was 40 years old, he had spent more time on the face of Mount Everest than any other person alive. So, when a British expedition was looking for local guides in an attempt to reach the summit, they turned to Norgay. And on May 29, 1953, Norgay and New Zealand mountaineer Edmund Hillary became the first peopl...

"He wanted to be notorious like Hannibal Lecter... He always wanted to know what it was like to kill somebody, and what it would be like to cut them up and skin them." Christopher Scott Wilson was a quiet, 29-year-old student at the Academy of Hair Design in Wenatchee, Washington in 2010. After Germany's surrender in May 1945, millions of German soldiers remained prisoners of war. In France, their internment lasted a particularly long time. But, for some former soldiers, it was a path to rehabilitation. French units lost out to US soldiers in the last meters of the race to reach Adolf Hitler's destroyed Alpine headquarters, the Berghof. But French troops in southern Germany in early May 1945 nonetheless made good progress, capturing one town after the other. After four years of Nazi occupation, France, under General Charles de Gaulle, joined the ultimately victorious Allied powers in 1944. And the country made sure the defeated German natio...

Thankful Quotes and Appreciation Saying (By Kate)

Thankful Quotes and Appreciation Saying (By Kate) In life, there is always something to be thankful for. It’s easy to complain about how chaotic the world is and how people can be so evil towards one another, but complaining without action just doesn’t change anything. If we start to be thankful for everything we have, instead of what we do not have, we’ll start to appreciate our life on this earth more. Simple things such as being able to walk, eat, see, hear – these are just some of the many gifts that were given to us so freely. Sometimes it’s just a matter of how we view things. We may hate our bosses at work, but guess what? We have a job. We may not like the leftovers we have in our fridge, but guess what? We have food. We may hate the traffic every single day, but guess what? We still made it to our destination safe and sound. If we choose to look at the brighter side of life, we will discover the countless small things we sometimes take for granted but have so much value if we ...

Before Loving v. Virginia, another interracial couple fought in court for their marriage

Eighty-four years before Richard Loving and Mildred Jeter traveled from their home in Virginia to wed in Washington, there was another interracial couple who made the same trip for the sake of love. On Nov. 4, 1874, the day interracial marriages became legal in the nation’s capital, Andrew Kinney, a black man, and Mahala Miller, a white woman, left their home in Augusta County, Va., where they lived with their two sons, traveled to the District and married. They spent 10 days on their honeymoon before returning home to Augusta County, Va., where they lived as husband and wife. Then, in 1877, they were arrested and charged with “lewd and lascivious cohabitation” and violating Virginia’s law banning interracial marriage. On Feb. 2, 1878, they were found guilty of miscegenation and fined $500 each. The case was appealed to the Augusta County Circuit Court, where Andrew Kinney’s attorney argued the charges should be dismissed because Kinney’s marriage to Mahala was legal in Washington. But...

Marriage is not as the way it used to be. Compare today's marriage to when our parents and grandparents got wedded.   D ivorce is now on the rise. People have come to accept it as an almost inevitable part of life. The fear of going through a divorce has been mitigated. Note also that people still marry for the very same reasons that older generations for, but the rate of divorce today is of increase and the following are the reasons among others 1.
