SAD: Nigerian pastors disgraced and forced to marry fiancée‘s corpse after he allegedly terminated her pregnancy without her consent to save his reputation (Photos)— Undiluted Gist

A Nigerian pastor, Rev. Dr. Success Emeka Sunday was forced to marry the corpse of his late fiancée who he is alleged to have killed by aborting her pregnancy while she was unconscious.

The founder of Life Transformation Praying Ministry in Owerri, went into a relationship with Chioma Okoye 5 years ago, they got engaged in 2020 and started planning their wedding.

In the course of preparing for the wedding, Chioma got pregnant but the pastor didn’t want the baby because his church was against pregnancy before marriage and it would damage his reputation.

The family of the deceased claimed that Pastor Sunday invited Chioma to his house on February 24, 2021 and offered her a drink laced with drugs and she became unconscious after drinking it.

He however, took her to a hospital and asked the doctor to terminate the pregnancy.

The doctor is said to have refused but the pastor allegedly insisted.

During the procedure, Chioma reportedly started vomiting blood and the doctor advised that the deceased be taken to FMC.

At FMC, the clergyman registered his fiancée with a different name and called her family to let them know she was ill.

Chioma reportedly gave up the ghost before her family could intervene.

After being presented with the autopsy result, the pastor is said to have confessed to drugging her in order to terminate her pregnancy.

The family of the deceased made sure that Pastor Sunday got married to Chioma before her funeral.

She was buried on Tuesday, August 31 in Umuahia, Abia state.

Her name on the obituary was changed to the pastor’s name to indicate that he had married her.

Family members say he is still a theology teacher at Bethel Seminary and churches still invite him to preach.
