10 Reasons Why Men Should Quit Watching Po*n

Who was Trevaline Evans and what happened to her?

On the afternoon of June 16, 1990 antique shop owner traveline Evans left a note on her shop window saying she'd be back in two minutes and went down the street to purchase an apple and a banana. The banana peel in the shop's wastebasket suggested that she made it back, but she never reopened the store and seemed to have vanished without a trace. Various people in her small welsh town of Llangollen claimed to have seen her throughout the day. But no clear timeline for her movements was ever established and no physical evidence related to her disappearance was ever found.

The disappearance of Trevaline Evans is a missing persons case from 1990, concerning a 52-year-old woman who vanished without trace from her antiques shop in Llangollen, Denbighshire, Wales, United Kingdom.

Evans had been away during the week of her disappearance near the coast at Rhuddlan with her husband Richard, who was renovating the couple's holiday bungalow. She returned to Llangollen on Wednesday, 13 June.

On Saturday, 16 June 1990, Evans opened her shop, Attic Antiques on Church Street, at the usual time of 9:30am. She had parked her dark blue Ford Escort estate 200 yards away. During the morning, approximately 25 friends and customers had called in and according to the friends who visited, Evans appeared relaxed, happy and had made plans to go out that night.[3] The weather that day was sunny according to the police and the town centre described as busy.

At about 12:40pm, Evans left a note on the front door of her shop, saying she would be "back in two minutes". A smartly dressed man was reportedly seen talking to her in the shop shortly before she left the note.[5][6] This man was never traced. It is known that she bought an apple and a banana and was seen crossing nearby Castle Street. As a banana skin was found in a dustbin in the shop after this time, it is thought she must have returned there. However, this has never been confirmed. Evans’s handbag, car keys and jacket, along with fruit and flowers that she had intended to take home, were left behind in the shop. Her car remained parked where it had been left.

The last confirmed sighting of Evans was near her home on Market Street at 2:30pm.

There were two more suspected sightings, both unconfirmed. At 2:35pm a woman matching her description was seen walking out of town along the A5 towards Corwen, beside the riverside park.At 3:45pm, there was another sighting, this time of a woman walking into Park Avenue from the direction of the River Dee.

Every household in Llangollen, as well as scores of people from further afield, were interviewed. More than 1,500 names were checked and about 700 cars were eliminated from the inquiry.[5] Searches of the River Dee, the canal, mine shafts and caves in the Llangollen area were carried out, but no trace was found. An artist's impression of a man in a blazer apparently seen in her company was drawn up and circulated during the investigation in 1990.

In January 2001, the case was reopened by police in the hope new forensic techniques would suggest fresh evidence. Evans's husband Richard was arrested in June 2001 but later released without charge Police also ruled out an artist's impression of a man allegedly seen with Evans shortly before her disappearance as no longer accurate.

When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, Chester Nimitz was in Washington, D.C., serving as head of the Navy's Bureau of Navigation. But just 10 days later, President Roosevelt fired the former head of the Pacific Fleet for his failure to prevent the attack and promoted Nimitz, sending him to Hawaii in civilian clothes and carrying classified damage reports hidden in his wife's sewing bag to avoid the detection of potential spies. The Twisted Saga Of Michael Peterson, Kathleen Peterson, And The Real Story Behind ‘The Staircase’

The Twisted Saga Of Michael Peterson, Kathleen Peterson, And The Real Story Behind ‘The Staircase’ In 2003, Michael Peterson was convicted of killing his wife Kathleen by beating her with a fire poker and throwing her down their back staircase — despite the police never finding the murder weapon nor any evidence of a concrete motive. But investigators soon learned that the Petersons were deep in debt and that Michael was unhappy with the way his work as a writer had stalled while his wife's career as a business executive had soared. And when prosecutors learned that Michael had exchanged emails with a male sex worker, they argued that Kathleen must have discovered the messages and confronted him about it, causing him to fly into a fit of rage, beat her about the back of the head, and leave her to die at the bottom of the stairs. But six years after Michael's conviction, a shocking new analysis showed that Kathleen Peterson had traces of feathers, wood, and cedar needle...

Before Loving v. Virginia, another interracial couple fought in court for their marriage

Eighty-four years before Richard Loving and Mildred Jeter traveled from their home in Virginia to wed in Washington, there was another interracial couple who made the same trip for the sake of love. On Nov. 4, 1874, the day interracial marriages became legal in the nation’s capital, Andrew Kinney, a black man, and Mahala Miller, a white woman, left their home in Augusta County, Va., where they lived with their two sons, traveled to the District and married. They spent 10 days on their honeymoon before returning home to Augusta County, Va., where they lived as husband and wife. Then, in 1877, they were arrested and charged with “lewd and lascivious cohabitation” and violating Virginia’s law banning interracial marriage. On Feb. 2, 1878, they were found guilty of miscegenation and fined $500 each. The case was appealed to the Augusta County Circuit Court, where Andrew Kinney’s attorney argued the charges should be dismissed because Kinney’s marriage to Mahala was legal in Washington. But...

A haunted night at Stanley Hotel's Room 217

A haunted night at Stanley Hotel's Room 217 In March of 2017, I took a history and ghost tour at the Stanley Hotel. While I did not see or interact with any spirits, I felt intense energy in many areas of the hotel. I also caught some images of orbs with my cell phone. Despite the orbs and intense energy, I left the hotel a skeptic. However, I wanted to come back and stay the night so I could experience more ghost activity. Perhaps the activity would be enough to convince me that ghosts truly do exist. The Most Haunted Room At The Stanley On Memorial Day weekend of 2017, my partner and I stayed the night at the Stanley Hotel. Out of all the 420 available rooms, I picked room 217. This is the most well-known room on the property. Back in the 70's, Stephen King stayed the night in this particular room. His night at the hotel had inspired King to write his 1977 horror novel and bestseller called The Shining. Comedian Jim Carrey also visited room 217 while he was in the process of ...

How To Fix A Broken Relationship

Hurt is inevitable in significant relationships. Yet pain and strife do not have to mean a relationship is going to end. Many couples find that working through trouble actually makes their relationship even stronger. What they realize is that all relationship require work, love, and patience to succeed, and this is especially true when trying to mend a broken relationship. 1. Determine if the other person wants to fix the relationship. There is no sense in trying to fix something if you are the only one willing to do the work. If your partner is unapologetic for mistakes, dismissive of your desire to talk, or continues hurtful behavior, it might be time to move on. It takes two people to mend a broken relationship. If you are the only one trying to save things then you will never succeed. 2. Determine why the relationship is in trouble. All relationships go through rough patches at one point or another. As the novelty of your first few months together wears off, problem...
