I paid N410 as dowry – 35-year-old man who married 70-year-old white woman

A 35-year-old man who married a 70-year-old oyinbo woman he met on Facebook said her family only wanted $1 (N409.89) as dowry.




He revealed that they asked him to take the dowry to church and pay it as an offering.

The woman's five children are older than the husband, that does not affect their love.

Musyoki said after introducing Deborah to his parents, they had mixed reactions, and his mom asked him if she would give birth.

A Kenyan man, Bernard Musyoki, who is happily married to a white woman twice his age, has revealed how much he paid as bride price for her hand in marriage.

In an interview with Tuco.co.ke, the 35-year-old man reiterated that his love is genuine and not fake, as many believe.

Musyoki, a Kenyan man who hails from Kitui county, said he met 70-year-old Deborah on Facebook in 2017.

Recounting how he met his wife Deborah Jan Spicer, the young man from Kitui said;

I sent her a friend request, after a week, I asked her to marry me and she accepted. We even exchanged vows inbox”.

He revealed that in 2018, he was to travel to the US to meet her, but he was denied a visa. They kept communicating, and on December 29, 2020, the woman decided to travel to Kenya to meet her prince charming.

Musyoki revealed that Deborah’s parents are late, and he negotiated for dowry payment with her and her children.

“They said they wanted only $1 (N410) and told me to take it to church as offering and she said that’s my dowry,” he recalled.

He further revealed that Deborah’s children are also older than him and they relate well. He said when their mother told them she had found love again, they accepted him and supported their relationship.
