10 Reasons Why Men Should Quit Watching Po*n

Reasons Why The World Talk Of Nigeria

It's almost impossible not to talk about Nigeria and Nigerians. You meet them any and everywhere.

The most populated black nation in the world. People talk about us for our ground breaking achievements and of course, our unpleasant deeds.

Here are some reasons!

1. It's only in Nigeria leaders will come out to say they have built a world class hospital only to fly to India or the UK for medical treatment, even to check blood sugar level. They never go close to the hospital after commissioning.

2. Nigerians have been heralded as one of the most educated citizens living in foreign countries.

3. A place where every weekend is a celebration; bars filled up, colourful marriage celebrations, clubs filled to the brim, religious services echoing to heaven and even burial's of aged relatives call for a party.

4. A country where leaders continue to convince the youths that "they are the leaders of tomorrow" but the same leader has done all he can to remain in power in one way or another since I was born. Oga, which tomorrow are we talking about? Abi, is tomorrow a name of place?

5. A country that is still at the top of the jollof rice pyramid in West Africa despite our minister of information who's name is undoubtedly Lai Muhammed, claiming it was the Senegalese. Nigerian jollof rice is still the best!

6. A Country recently awarded the poverty capital of the world. And home of the fantastically corrupt leaders. But managed to remain the largest economy in Africa.

7. The church headquarters. Land of miracle workers. Home of rich pastors, poor members.

8. A country where leaders have successfully out maneuvered and enslaved citizens and has kept them begging for a drop of crumbs from their golden dinnings so the masses could continue fighting for their longevity.

9. A country who's citizens have given up on their government and has launched war on survival, battling against every odd, launching businesses to fight hunger and rewrite family histories.

10. A nation who's citizens have all become vigilante, guarding and protecting themselves because the majority of authorities have been bought over by rich political leaders to guard there empty houses, parked cars and sleeping wives and children.

11. A nation where citizens have realized Democracy as a demonstration of madness, a sick system that has giving the majority tribes and the ruling parties power to continue to determine our future in the worst possible way while making it look pretty

12. A nation where after graduating from tertiary institutions the first place graduates go to is to learn hand-work, instead of heading to companies or government offices for interviews.

13. A country where hundred thousand persons apply for hundred available positions in a company wanting to employ qualified personnel. The good news is, they are all qualified for the job. A tough choice for the company, and tough luck for applicants.

14. A country where people work tirelessly to turn stone to bread as a challenge to poverty... say poverty no reach, as a pure Naija blood.

15. A place where every Jane, Grace and mary from some fancy country claimed to have sent their hard earned savings to. And are now working tirelessly with the FBI to get them back after discovering it was a false promise... That's what the world call a romance scam.

16. The only country that could block a government road because of a marriage or a burial ceremony, thereby causing the most dreadful of traffic.

17. The only country in the world where you pay development fee before developing your own land, or constructing a road in a community. One practically pays to develop an undeveloped empty land. We are fast to blame the government but never our individual evil acts.

18. The only country people write “not for sale” and “beware of 419” on their properties. My English friends wouldn't stop making jokes about this at my previous job.

19. A country where a taxi driver carrying crate of eggs is more careful than the one carrying human beings. Life is a rollercoaster

20..A country where the most effective way to convince people to do a thing is to ask them never to do it... and vice versa.

21. A country where one could experience one of the closest relationships within and outside the family. What ever you own is also a property of your close relatives and friends except the person is unfriendly, and he will automatically qualify for the name "wicked man". Most women won't feel comfortable in her husbands house without the blessings of her husband's close relatives.

22. A country where activities like sport, music, marriage, burial and birthday celebrations could unite sworn enemies. No,...not religion, that's where enemity starts.

Oh! no, he didn't commit any Crime, it's a marriage invitation. One of Only in Nigeria” moments.

I can go on and on....
Why won't the world talk about such a country?

A country where everything is complete.
Our news stations have a big story to tell every day.

On a good day either a Nigerian has done something absolutely beautiful or terribly wrong.

Life is drama down here. A game of thrones!

Fact: Any country you can't find Nigerians is unsafe and not profitable..

Florida's Messiest Execution

Florida's Messiest Execution On July 8, 1999, the execution of Allen Lee Davis set off a shock wave that rippled around the world. During his time in the electric chair, Davis bled profusely from the nose and suffered burns to his head, leg, and groin area. As the switch was thrown, the “Tiny” Davis, who was executed for the May 11, 1982, murder of Nancy Weiler and her two daughters, reared back against the restraints, giving witnesses a chilling glimpse under a black hood designed to hide the faces of the condemned. Blood poured from his vivid purple nose, ran down the wide leather strap that covered his mouth and soaked the white shirt. After the power was turned off, Davis was still alive. Witnesses said his chest rose and fell about 10 times before he went still. After the execution, state prison officials and Governor Jeb Bush said the Old Sparky functioned properly. Three photos of the incident have been published on Florida’s High Court official website in an attempt to argu...

History’s Worst Execution Methods: Flaying

History’s Worst Execution Methods: Flaying Flaying — better known as “skinning alive” — has a long and grotesque history. Records of the practice exist as far back as the Neo-Assyrian Empire (beginning in 911 B.C.), but it has cropped up in most civilizations at one time or another, including Medieval Europe (where it tended to be used as a punishment for traitors) and in the ritual human sacrifices made by the Aztecs in Mexico (the Aztecs, at least, are believed to have skinned the body after the sacrifice had been made). Various techniques have been utilized in the many different cultures in which flaying has been employed, but the basis remains the same: Slowly, excruciatingly slicing the skin from the body while keeping the victim alive for as long as possible (and when feasible, removing the skin intact). Rendering Of Flaying Wikimedia Commons Carvings from the Assyrian period show the process beginning with incisions to the thighs or buttocks, while the European method — pictured...

The Last Days of the Dachau Concentration Camp

The Last Days of the Dachau Concentration Camp The historic winter of 1944-45 tested the endurance of the Dachau concentration camp’s captive population. News, much of it good, about the Allies’ recent triumphs —stopping Adolf Hitler’s Ardennes Offensive and the unleashing of the Red Army’s Vistula-Oder Offensive (mid-January 1945)—seeped in. As the weeks passed, confidence in Allied victory, while fragile, struck roots in Dachau. There were powerful reasons for inmates, though, to temper expectations. Despite the fragmentary knowledge of the state of the war they gained, there was much uncertainty about how long the Hitler regime might withstand the Allied advance. Due to its location in Bavaria, quite distant from the battle fronts, liberation would not happen anytime soon. Undoubtedly, the omnipresence of the SS guaranteed that attempted escape or rebellion would be met with extreme violence. Other factors besides the SS’s wanton cruelty incited new terror among Dachau’s prisoners. ...

The body of a U.S. paratrooper killed in action in the jungle near

The body of a U.S. paratrooper killed in action in the jungle near The body of a US paratrooper killed in action in the jungle near the Cambodian border is lifted up to an evacuation helicopter in War Zone C on 14 May 1966. The zone, encompassing the city of Tay Ninh and the surrounding area north of Saigon, was the site of the Viet Cong's headquarters in South Vietnam. The technology and wealth of the US military allowed it to drop significantly more bombs into a much smaller area on the other side of the planet, virtually wiping it out. It escalated to that intensity - still failing anyway - from an impressively-successful (given the resources) train-and-equip program of ethnic minority militia, one which accommodated local interests, their proxy's interests and went as far as to advance them at the expense of others. The largely ineffective bombing campaign escalated into an absurd intensity and the local proxy's effectiveness was reduced through attrition and then later...
