Mumified Dinosaur Surveys: Still preserved the skin.

The specimen, which has already become rock after so many millions of years, disallowed the experts It's about an Edmontosaurus fossil, a duck peak dinosaur that lived about 67 million years ago, but what makes it exceptional is how well preserved it is.

It has a conservation level never seen before. Scientists study the finding of the dinosaur "momificado" that was found in 1999 in North Dakota.

Paleontologists resumed the investigation of the specimen in 2018, and that was when they realized that it had been bitten by at least two carnivores.

The body of the dinosaur remained exposed to the intemperie and the carroñeros, and the holes generated by the bites of these allowed the gases, fluids and microbes to leave the body before they completely decomposed it.

In this way, the animal's skin was released before being buried and starting the fosillization process that allowed it to arrive in an unreleased state of conservation until now.
