This painting, depicting a young woman nursing an elderly man in a prison cell, was sold for € 30 million.

It is the story of a woman, Pero, who secretly breastfeeds her father, Cimon, after he was imprisoned and sentenced to starvation for stealing a loaf of bread during the reign of Louis XIV in France.

She is discovered by a guard, but her act of generosity impresses the responsible officials who allow her father freedom, and is portrayed as a great act of pity.
