The unlucky human opponent for the day was a man named Gordon "Two-Ton" Roxburgh. The fight took place in a small ring, with Roxburgh wearing boxing gloves and the bear wearing a muzzle for safety reasons.

Despite his size and experience as a boxer, Roxburgh was no match for the bear. The fight lasted only a few minutes, with the bear easily knocking down Roxburgh multiple times before the match was stopped.
