Coronavirus Cases in Nigeria
Presently, on 1st March 2020, one case has been confirmed in person of an Italian man who visited the nation. Hundreds if not thousands of others are supposed to be under quarantine but not yet. Another serious suspect is the taxi driver who took the infected Italian man to his destination. The places the Italian man visited had been locked down which include offices of Exxon Mobil and Agip (I think) in Victoria Island, Lagos. The other place locked down is a cement factory in Ogun State owned by Lafarge, at Ewekoro, news reported that some visitors who had been in contact with the infected Italian man had visited the place. The worst and most worrisome situation which might make Nigeria second largest victim country in the world, if the story is true, is that the said taxi driver is at large, he ran away avoiding being quarantined, demanding for 100million naira for his family, saying that he wont be the only person to go down, wishing to see the Nigerian president, Buhari and hug him. He is threatening to spread the virus TO ALL. Till date, he has not been arrested. Can you imagine how worse the situation would be if he is actually infected and many people had been in contact with him since then till now and till, who knows when, he would be arrested and quarantined?
We were, mostly in the first two days.
And men, Nigerian men who never fail to find a reason to destroy one or few bottles of beer were very pleased to hear that alcohol could destroy the virus, hence, the bars were unfortunately filled to the brim in few places.
There is news that frequent-Sex is also good for the virus, considering I haven't set eyes on my neighbours for two days it might be that this news is being taken with good faith.
So, is Nigeria safe right now?
Firstly; we, I have my own worries and the virus is the least of them right now.
We are at our best when you expect us to be at our worst. There are things that would happen in Nigeria and one could say; oh, this will destroy this country, this will divide them...
Boy, calm down, that is the moment disunited Nigerians unite to tackle the situation amicably.
Although I don't have much faith in the government to keep me safe, if ever trouble-jam-problem on the virus case, there are people I'm betting my last Naira on, the rich folks, they would do anything to keep me safe.
Not that they like me, but they won't want a virus from ordinary poor folks to wipe them and their family off the earth.
So you're safe living or coming into Nigeria, presently.

All passengers on board in the airplane that brought the Italian man are under track, but myself cannot boast for my nation that all these people would be tracked down and put under quarantine.
What is the current situation with the coronavirus in Lagos, Nigeria, and should I be scared travelling there?
Nigeria reported her first and only case on Friday and it has remained so.
About 30 to 100 persons who came in contact with the victim have been quarantine and being observed presently.
The Italian who imported the virus to the West African country without Custom Wahala is said to be stable with no signs of departure into the great beyond anytime soon.
Anyway this is what I heard from several sources with a little salt and Chilli here and there.
As at today, global CONVID-19 cases are:
So are Lagosians worried about this virus?
We were, mostly in the first two days.
Our shopping malls were already lacking hand sanitizers. A few were walking around the city with masks.
And men, Nigerian men who never fail to find a reason to destroy one or few bottles of beer were very pleased to hear that alcohol could destroy the virus, hence, the bars were unfortunately filled to the brim in few places.

I have to deal with NEPA, before traffic, then I'm still contemplating on reporting the gatekeeper to the landlord; he swears he doesn't smoke wee but wee is all I perceive in and around him.
As you can see the virus is our least worry presently unless something changes.
There is something the world doesn't know about Nigeria:
We are at our best when you expect us to be at our worst. There are things that would happen in Nigeria and one could say; oh, this will destroy this country, this will divide them...

They would donate billions to ensure I and fellow Nigerians don't contract the virus.
So you're safe living or coming into Nigeria, presently.
